As a result, the WID has been forced to adhere to Government of Alberta regulations, limiting their diversion volume rate from the Bow River. As you may be aware, Alberta is currently facing a severe heatwave, which has significantly impacted the Western Irrigation District and many areas throughout Alberta.ĭue to these challenging circumstances, the Bow River's water level has reached a critically low flow stage.
